The 3-2 setback at Ross County was followed by a goalless draw at Dundee in a four-day turn of events that saw Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers move from having a must-win Glasgow Derby in May to now having a game that we can afford to lose.

Brendan Rodgers will be heartened by the 0-0 draw at Dens, Celtic fans are overjoyed, and Chris Sutton has offered his immediate reaction as the Parkhead rivalry takes on a whole new meaning.

Celtic now lead the Scottish Premiership by three points, with a considerably superior +5 goal differential and eight more goals scored.

It’s a far cry from where we were only a few weeks ago, and former Celtic legend Chris Sutton discusses Rangers’ Dens Park defeat on social media channel X.

“Deserved point for Dundee, Not so long ago Rangers were cheered off the pitch… tonight jeered off…”

Celtic can now look forward to their remaining five games with a three-point lead, but the first game after the break is at Dens Park against Dundee.

Tony Docherty’s guys proved tonight that they are no pushovers. However, with Rodgers’ Celtic now in good form, Celtic fans will be sure that they can travel to the City of Discovery and collect up another three crucial points in their title defence.

Celtic now face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup on Saturday, which will be a pleasant respite from the intensity of the title fight, in which we are now hot favourites to win.
