Recalling the Europa League victory at Parkhead, Vaclav Cerny knows what Rangers need to do to defeat Celtic.

With his Old Firm debut coming up on Sunday, the on-loan Wolfsburg winger believes he’s prepared for whatever the match brings.

All Vaclav Cerny would settle for was a rerun of his previous Celtic Park visit.

In November 2015, Ajax defeated the Hoops 2-1 in the Europa League thanks to a goal scored by the Rangers winger. Additionally, Ibrox wagerers would adore a similar result in this afternoon’s Old Firm game. Cerny thinks his experience with the Dutch powerhouses, particularly their matches against fierce rivals Feyenoord, will benefit him in the Glasgow equivalent.

In addition, he declares himself prepared for any challenge that comes his way as one of Philippe Clement’s new recruits gets set for his first taste of the fixture. Cerny, who joined on loan from Wolfsburg this summer, stated: “I’ve played in another big derby, Ajax vs Feyenoord, so I don’t know if I can compare derbies.” It’s not the tiniest derby, either! However, I’m eager to try this one. These are my kind of games. I know I like them, but I won’t reveal what it makes me feel.
