The 25-year-old has been an ever-present for Leicester this season, appearing in all but one of their 37 Championship games. A quick return to the top division appeared to be a formality at one stage, as Enzo Maresca’s club surged to the top of the standings. However, a recent run of one win in five has allowed Leeds United to seize the lead, with Ipswich Town following closely in third.

There are now fears that the East Midlands club will have to settle for a spot in the play-offs, as their promotion opponents show no signs of slowing.

It’s been a tough week at the King Power Stadium. Off-the-field shenanigans have dominated media headlines following the Premier League’s charge of violating profit and sustainability regulations. It appears that the struggle will continue in the coming months, potentially affecting their summer transfer business.

Dewsbury-Hall is a valuable player, and there appears to be a recognition that Leicester may have to sell their star at the conclusion of the season. As a result, it is believed that £25 million will be accepted if they remain in the championship, with the figure increasing to £40 million if they get promoted.

Clubs, notably Manchester United, have already begun to circle. The Red Devils are prepared for a summer of change following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen could leave, putting Erik ten Hag’s club in desperate need of a reliable midfielder.

As a result, preparations for end-of-season recruitment have already begun, with the 20-time English champions reportedly approaching Leicester to discuss a potential transfer.

Other parties are interested, however. Brighton & Hove Albion remain interested after trying their luck in January, while Brentford may make a move. However, 90min reports that the midfielder would like to join Tottenham Hotspur, where former teammate James Maddison is seeking to persuade manager Ange Postecoglou to bring him to North London.

Despite being in second place, Leicester still has the advantage in the Championship title battle, having played one fewer game than Leeds and Ipswich Town.

The Dewsbury-Hall saga is one that is set to rumble on throughout the summer. He is a player who looks destined to play at a higher level and will be keen to try his luck at European football. Despite that, he emerged through Leicester’s academy and is under contract until 2027, meaning the Foxes have every right to demand the fee they want.

Links to Manchester United are unsurprising. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Red Devils make a move, especially if a managerial change is made at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
