I don’t think about that: Nottingham Forest Coach Nuno Espirito Santo responds to what he heard about Forest ahead of the summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo, Nottingham Forest’s manager, has responded to questions posed during his most recent press conference.

This worries me' - Two major Nuno Espirito Santo concerns emerge as former Nott'm Forest star analyses appointment

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team will have the chance to climb out of the relegation zone this weekend with a game at the City Ground.

However, he has cautioned that the club would not even consider the summer transfer window until they have achieved Premier League survival.

What Nuno said about potential player departures

A number of Forest’s key players have already been linked with a move away from the City Ground ahead of the summer.

Forest has undoubtedly had a difficult few weeks, falling short financially and incurring a four-point deduction.

And now it has been reported that they may try to duplicate Brennan Johnson’s summer sale to Tottenham Hotspur.

Murillo, for example, has reportedly been valued at £70 million by Forest.

But the Forest boss has revealed that the club will not even consider player moves until their fate is decided.

He said: “That’s not even an issue for us. The situation we are in we are not going to start thinking about the transfer of players. It’s absurd and a mistake. We don’t think about that at all.”

Who could leave Forest in the summer?

Murillo is undoubtedly a name that has been mentioned as a possible sell for Forest to make some substantial money.

However, he is not the only player Forest could try to sell this summer.

Midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is thought to be garnering a lot of interest from some of the league’s top clubs.

Tottenham and West Ham United are reportedly two of the probable destinations for the 24-year-old in the coming months.

The north London club already has a solid relationship with Forest, who signed Johnson last summer.

Ironically, Forest’s recent financial woes with the Premier League placed the current Tottenham winger at the heart of the club’s defensive.

Forest fought hard to bring in additional money for the Welshman, but they had to wait until deadline day to see his deal finalised.

If Forest sells someone like Gibbs-White this summer, they are expected to demand a higher price than they received for Johnson.
