The Super Eagles media crew posted a video on X showing the players arriving at the camp on Tuesday morning.

When they got out of their car with their bags, the team members grinned and laughed to greet them.

As the team gets ready for the qualifiers, vice captain William Troost-Ekong was among those who welcomed the newcomers, which helped to lift their spirits even more.

There are now fourteen players in camp as a result of their arrival.

A few more players that have already arrived are Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Wilfred Ndidi, Amas Obasogie, Victor Boniface, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Olisa Udah, and Stanley Nwabali.

As the team prepares for the games, Austin Eguavoen, the interim manager, who arrived at the camp on Monday night, will oversee the training sessions.

With more players anticipated to arrive in the next few hours, the squad could be significantly strengthened by the addition of key players like Iwobi, Onyeka, and Bassey.

Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars and Fidelis Ilechukwu of Enugu Rangers, Eguavoen’s assistants, will provide support.

Both managers have significant experience coaching in the Nigerian league; Ilechukwu guided Rangers International to the league championship, and Ogunmodede’s Remo Stars placed second in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Super Eagles’ first qualifying matchup is against Benin Republic; they will then play Rwanda.

Nigeria’s hopes of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON tournament hinge on these games.
