Kris Boyd grasping at straws yesterday at Dens Park.

Kris Boyd was grabbing at straws again yesterday afternoon while working as a pundit for Sky Sports Scotland.

Kris Boyd claims Celtic win over Hibs was 'daylight robbery' before unanimous penalty verdict stops Rangers hero in his tracks - Daily Record

When working for the subscription-based broadcaster, the former Rangers striker rarely gives Celtic or our players the proper rating, and his clear bias for his old team, as well as scorn for ours, is always evident.

It’s amazing that he’s even permitted to call our games; you’d think the Sky Sports brand would prefer someone more proficient at football analysis and less gibbering fool. The panel, which featured former Celtics Charlie Mulgrew and Scotland international James McFadden, was looking over James Forrest’s second goal from yesterday.

Even they two were shocked that instead of praising Jamesy from the start for his wonderful second goal, and the guile and work rate that was used to get in past the Dark Blues’ defence to tuck away a powerful low shot that left McCracken with no chance, he decided to make himself look even more ridiculous (if that’s even possible) and question whether or not the Hoops attacker used his hand in the build-up!

After his favourite team defeated Stephen Robinson’s St Mirren 2-1 in the early Sunday kick-off yesterday, he was visibly furious that a James Forrest revival wrecked what he seen as a good opportunity for Celtic to drop points in the City of Discovery.

Surely Sky Sports is thinking about recruiting someone else to cover Scottish football soon?
